Head Spa in Paris – a complete hair care treatment that deeply nourishes the hair.

Head Spa: a ritual for hair and scalp care

The head spa is a complete hair care ritual that combines scalp massage, acupressure, and deep treatments to revitalize the scalp and hair. By boosting blood circulation, it nourishes the hair follicles, promotes hair regrowth, and strengthens the hair fiber. With specialized scalp massage techniques, the head spa releases tension, reduces stress, and provides deep relaxation. It hydrates, repairs, and nourishes the hair, restoring its shine, texture, and vitality. This wellness ritual also calms the mind and prepares the scalp to fully absorb the benefits of the treatment.

The steps of the Head Spa

The Head Spa is suitable for every hair type, for both men and women. It's particularly well suited to those with damaged hair, weakened by frequent colouring or repeated blow-drying. It's ideal for anyone dealing with hair loss, an unbalanced scalp (excess sebum, dryness, dandruff) or marked daily stress in the form of cranial tension, headaches or persistent fatigue. All hair types are welcome: fine, thick, curly, coloured or natural.

Bains du Marais offers Head Spa treatments in three formats to suit your availability and your desired level of care. The Head Spa Fraîcheur is the ideal protocol for targeted scalp purification with a ghassoul clay scrub; in under an hour, it combines a skin assessment, the application of a purifying mask and a scalp massage for a clean, invigorating result. The Head Spa Relaxation extends to the shoulders, neck and hands for a more enveloping sense of calm, with Bains du Marais by Soledad oils applied to the lengths of the hair and the scalp. Finally, the complete option is the Head Spa Détente Absolue, which combines the Fraîcheur protocol with a body massage and oil ceremony for a head-to-toe experience in total relaxation. Whichever format you choose, every session ends with a careful rinse and styling, so you leave with beautifully revived hair and a calmer mind.

1. Scalp assessment

The session begins with an examination and assessment of the scalp: the condition of the skin (oily, dry, sensitive, irritated), the density and nature of the hair, and the presence of dandruff or areas of fragility. This assessment guides the choice of treatments and oils used during the session.

2. Brushing and preparation

A thorough brushing detangles and prepares the hair, opening the hair cuticles and helping the active ingredients that follow to penetrate more effectively.

3. Application of the treatment

A nourishing mask or oil is applied to the scalp and lengths according to the format you've chosen. For the Head Spa Fraîcheur, a ghassoul mask — a purifying volcanic clay from Morocco — is used to absorb excess sebum, clear away impurities and rebalance the scalp's microbiome. For the Head Spa Relaxation, Bains du Marais by Soledad oils with nourishing, restorative properties are applied in an enveloping massage.

4. Scalp massage and acupressure

This is the heart of the protocol. Kneading, stroking and targeted pressure movements are carried out across the whole scalp and the nape of the neck. These techniques stimulate the microcirculation of the blood, release tension in the scalp muscles and activate reflex points that help calm the nervous system.

5. Rinse

The treatment is carefully rinsed out before a final integrating massage. Once the hair is dried and styled, the benefits of the treatment appear instantly: the hair regains its shine, lightness, softness and volume.

Have questions about the Head Spa?

We're here to answer them.

Is the Head Spa suitable for coloured or chemically treated hair?

Yes, our Head Spa is particularly beneficial for coloured hair. Colouring, bleaching and Brazilian straightening can alter the structure of the hair fibre and often dry out the scalp. For the Head Spa, we mainly use nourishing Soledad oils and Comfort Zone's restorative active ingredients, designed to deeply repair hair weakened by chemical treatments.

How often should I have a Head Spa to feel lasting effects?

You'll notice visible effects from the very first session, with a shinier, healthier scalp free of tension. For lasting effects on the scalp, we recommend having a session once a month. Following the treatment over three to four months allows you to see significant improvements.

Can the Head Spa help with hair loss?

Absolutely. It's a natural, effective solution for hair loss linked to stress, poor blood circulation or a congested scalp. We perform a scalp massage that stimulates the microcirculation, oxygenating the hair follicles and encouraging their activity. That said, severe or sudden hair loss calls for medical advice (a dermatologist or doctor) alongside the treatment, in order to identify the precise cause.

Is the Head Spa suitable for men?

Absolutely. Our Head Spa is a unisex treatment that's just as popular with men dealing with an oily scalp, dandruff or stress-related cranial tension. Our treatment is suited to clients of any gender and any hair type.

Are there any contraindications to the Head Spa?

The Head Spa is a gentle treatment with no major contraindications. However, it isn't advised in cases of acute scalp psoriasis, a wound or open lesion on the scalp, or a known allergy to any of the ingredients used (plant oils). We recommend letting us know of any skin or scalp history before your session so our therapists can adapt the protocol.
