How does the hammam work at Bains du Marais?

The hammam at Bains du Marais works in a very simple way: you're free to choose the ritual that matches how you're feeling, your budget and the time you have available. Each option is self-contained and complete: it always includes access to the hammam and sauna, with the addition of, depending on the ritual you choose, an oriental scrub, a Turkish foulard cleanse, a mask, an oil application, a massage or a facial.

You can book your session online or by phone. Simply arrive at your booked time with nothing else to arrange: changing rooms, towels and robes are all provided on arrival. If your ritual includes a scrub and/or a massage, you'll be welcomed by a therapist who will guide you through the treatment step by step. For self-access rituals (hammam + sauna only), you enjoy your session at your own pace, following the mixed or separate timings depending on the day.

Please note:

Swimwear is required (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday).

On Wednesdays until 4 pm the spa is reserved for women, and on Thursdays from 4 pm to 10 pm for men.

How long does a hammam session last?

The length of a hammam session depends on the ritual you choose: from 60 minutes for hammam-and-sauna access alone, up to 3 hours 10 minutes for the grand urban retreats. Most of the mid-range rituals last between 90 and 100 minutes — the ideal amount of time for a complete wellness break without taking up your whole day. As for rituals that include a full body massage, these run from 50 to 120 minutes.

Can I combine a hammam session with a massage at Bains du Marais?

Yes, you can extend the benefits of relaxation by adding a massage to your hammam session. We offer several rituals combining the hammam with a massage, which helps release muscle tension, aid recovery and create an even more complete wellness experience.

Can I combine a hammam session with a meal at the restaurant?

Yes, Bains du Marais offers an experience that blends wellness and fine dining. Before or after your dinner at the restaurant, enjoy a hammam session for a true moment of relaxation in the heart of Paris.

Do I need to book in advance for a hammam session at Bains du Marais?

We recommend booking to make sure you have access to the hammam on your preferred date and time. This is especially advisable at weekends, on public holidays and during busy periods.
